ABOUT ME
Greetings, traveler

MY NAME IS JAMES
​
I'm currently a senior at NJCU majoring in Media Arts. My main interests lie particularly in cinematography and editing, but I also have experience writing & directing!
​
My interest in film first began when I took a class in my sophomore year of high school called... well, Film. For a long time, I was quite enamored with narrative filmmaking—the process of writing a script, creating a shot list, shooting, editing, and lots of other things that I'd come to learn as I pursued relevant courses in college. (This probably stemmed from my childhood dream of becoming a writer.)
Recently, I tried my hand at documentary filmmaking and I found it very challenging; so challenging, in fact, that it has now become my main focus! I'll always make time for screenwriting, but I find that the kinds of connections you can make in the process of documentary filmmaking are the kinds you can't find by doing anything else :)

When I'm not procrastinating on my film projects, I'm most likely taking pictures of my cats, Amber and Appa. If you've visited my photography page, you'll most definitely have acquainted yourself with them!
